Pray Rosary without ceasing

Divine Mercy Chain Prayer

How does the Chain Rosary work?

A day is divided into 24 equal hours. A link in this chain is one hour, which is the time taken to complete one full Rosary. Select one hour to suit your convenience and say the Rosary at that hour on all 31 days and pray for the intentions given in this brochure. Let us specially pray for the youth that they may be free from Internet addiction, Cyber Misuse  and Drugs Abuse. In that way let all the 24 hours of the 31 days of October be filled with many Rosaries.

Those who desire to participate are requested to send us details such as your name, address of the parish, and the time of participation (am/pm.). As this is a programme organized in association with the parish, it will be better to make registrations that way. It will be more convenient to the organizers if you send the details bye e-mail. However, you can send it by post also. It will be a great charity to covey this message about the Rosary Chain Prayer to your relatives and friends anywhere in the world. The aged and the sick will be glad to participate in a programme like this, Teachers and students can play a great role in spreading this message using the Internet.

Those who desire to continue this Rosary Chain Prayer, not only during October, but for one full year, are most welcome.

"Pray in the Spirit at all times in every prayer and supplication".

(Eph. 6:18)

Rosary Chain Prayer

Rosary Chain Prayer is a prayer campaign that has immensely boosted the Rosary devotion in the month of October over the last 21 years in Visakhapatnam and else where, with the blessing of His Grace Most Rev.Dr.M.Prakash, Arichbishop of Visakhapatnam. Presently the talk of the town is the encyclical letter of Pope Francis titled "Laudato Si" on care for our common home the earth. Our Pope is calling us to hear the "Cry of the Earth" as we have overly exploited the earth and to hear the "Cry of the Poor" as we have neglected the suffering humanity. Our Pope is challenging us to build up a wholesome and integral relationship with God, with the humanity and with the earth.

This year, 2016 the baptized members of the Church are invited to live with a sense of consecration, as set apart for the Lord and capable of waking up the world to a sublime dignity of life. As disciples of Jesus Christ we are called to be guiding light for the world to see and aspire for what is beyond temporal, earthly, fleshly and sensual. God the creator and Lord of all is grossly offended by the deviations in the field of education, earthly enterprises, social media, festivals, sexuality etc. Cruelty of mankind has grown beyond breaking point.

Let us keep these realities in mind as we fervently participate in the Rosary Chain Prayer in this October. In the Rosary mysteries are encapsuled the remedy for the redemption of man and the earth. One Rosary at least a day will place us on the path to heaven. 2016, the

Year of Mercy should help us to change from the culture of greed to culture of mercy.

Blessed Bartolo Longo, the apostle of the Rosary, leads us to pray in the following words: 'O Bllessed Rosary of Mary, Sweet chain which unites us to God, bond of love which unites us to the angles, tower of salvation against the assaults of hell, safe port in our universal shipwreck, we will never abandon you. You will be our comfort in the hour of death: yours our final kiss as life ebbs away. And the last word our lips will be your sweet name, O Queen of the Rosary, O dearest Mother, O Refuge of Sinners, O Sovereign Consoler of the Afflicted. May you be everywhere blessed, today and always, on earth and in heaven".
